The Sundarbans — Nature's Last Frontier
The Sundarbans — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is the world's largest contiguous mangrove forest, spread across 10,000+ square kilometers of tidal waterways, mudflats, and small islands of salt-tolerant trees. This incredible ecosystem, straddling the border between India's West Bengal and Bangladesh, is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, over 260 bird species, and the legendary Giant Honey Bee.
For centuries, the Moual (মৌয়াল) honey collectors of the Sundarbans have braved the dangers of the deep forest — from tigers to crocodiles — to harvest one of nature's most precious gifts: pure, raw, wild forest honey. This honey is unlike any other — infused with the nectar of rare medicinal mangrove plants like Khalsi, Goran, Keora, and Hental.
In January 2024, Sundarban Honey officially received the Geographical Indication (GI) Tag from the Government of India, recognizing its unique origin from the South 24 Parganas and North 24 Parganas districts of West Bengal. This certification guarantees that every jar of Sundarban Honey is authentically sourced from this extraordinary forest.

Traditional Harvest
